Trailblazers 2nd round qualification for the finals!

23 June and we headed to Leyland Court for the trailblazer second round qualifiers for the finals. It was a new venue for us. I like it and think we'll go back.

They weren't tests to write home about, but we qualified - and whilst the Novice was tentative, I did have fun doing the Ele - regardless of the style.

The M5 was its usual chocca self, but we arrived at 3.20pm, 10 mins to stand still, time for me to have a pee, see where the arenas were and then get Fred tacked up for 3.58 Novice test.

He felt (and rode) pretty horizontal. They do say that 1.5 hours on the trailer is the equivalent to cantering 2 miles. Whilst Fred is fit enough. I guess it's not conducive to suppleness, lift and elevation. I think we had an hour at Hartpury to recover from the travelling.

On the positive, he behaved beautifully, albeit slightly on edge about being somewhere new but at least these days he stays with me and doesn't add new moves in.

I haven't blasted it all over Facebook that we've qualified. But we have an that's great. :)
