I'm always so grateful to the fact that there is now a show jumping course up pretty much ALL the time in my own 'home' arena as a livery at Badgworth.
I don't have any photographs from today's jump session, so I just downloaded the FB pic from Badgworth... but I was really pleased with how the lesson went.
We haven't jumped in a couple of weeks. But I was sooo pleased with Fred today. The course was up at about 70/75cm with possibly one or two up at 80cm. But he jumped beautifully. He was travelling, he was going forward, he wasn't stuffy and he was keeping his feet up nice and high! So he's learnt his lesson after tripping over his own feet and falling over, when we jumped a couple of weeks ago!
We did the course a couple of times, then created an 'alternative', but I just felt really upbeat, really positive and Fred was just behaving beautifully. He was enjoying it, travelling and we were totally connected.
So now I need to keep it up - book again next week and start the 'climb' back to 90cm xx
